The Sants Festival 2023 will be celebrated from August 19th to Sunday, August 27th, 2023. The festivities kick off on August 19th with the opening speech and culminate with the pyromusical on Sunday, August 27th.

Opening Speech of the Sants Festival 2023
The opening speech of the Sants Festival will be delivered by the Companyia Elèctrica Dharma. The group celebrated its 50th anniversary on stage last year. The reading of the opening speech will take place on August 19th.

The poster for this year’s festival has been designed by the illustrator Sara Rosa Mencia, who studied at the Escola Massana d’Art i Disseny. The artwork gives great prominence to the residents of the neighborhood.

Floral Offering to Sant Bartomeu
The traditional floral offering to the patron of Sants, Sant Bartomeu, takes place on August 24th at the Church of Santa Maria. Subsequently, the floral offering of Sant Bartomeu is usually made at the Mercat de Sants.
Castellers of Sants
The Castellers of Sants, the “borinots,” will celebrate their festival on the streets. One of the key dates is the castellera performance, which usually takes place on the Saturday before the end of the festival, August 26th (to be confirmed). Last year, it was held at the Plaça de Bonet i Muixí. In any case, they have various activities planned throughout the entire week.
